Who is Patrice?
I am an attorney, lifestyle aficionada and writer.
"Work Smart, Play Hard" is my approach to this thing called life. I am also the founder and editor of this lovely blog, MY Lifestyle Zen. I love keeping you abreast of entertainment, culture, dining, shopping, little known treasures in the Windy City and other places where I travel.
When I am not working, my inspiration is in listening to live music, cooking, exploring my city, listening to the successes and dreams of my friends and family, and traveling. I have a passion for creating memories and enjoying life and want to help others create the lives that they truly deserve. I reside in Chicago, in an ultra feminine, tiny little condo; adorned with pink, leopard print and an eclectic mix of urbane and vintage furnishings.
I am also the owner of Lifestyle Zen, a law firm for creative entrepreneurs and an attorney for creative entrepreneurs, risk takers and dream makers. My practice areas include business set-up and maintenance, transactional law and intellectual property, serving clientele that spans all creative industries. Dubbed the “creative attorney,” I understand the unique needs of creatives. I also offer a workshop series Real Law for Creative Entrepreneurs to educate creatives on the real law that they need to successfully transform their craft from hobby to business, now.
And generally…just making things happen!
my claims to fame
I have been a writer for practically my entire life, starting with my neighborhood newspaper that I founded and “edited” at the tender age at 7. Oh, did I mention that I "managed" a team of four contributors?
I am a Productivity Queen.
I am a Domestic Diva and able to whip together a meal that rivals that of your favorite restaurant.
Mentoring young people
Googling the latest productivity and organization tools
Watching movies that never quite made it to the theater…LOVE THEM. Butter is on the screen right now…
Less than stellar hotel rooms
Rubbing thighs or shoulders with strangers on public transportation
Upstairs neighbors who practice their improv and drumming at odd hours
